2 Northern Michigan resorts with deals, special activities

For those of you looking to take your spring break adventure closer to home this year, two of Northern Michigan’s major resorts are offering some deals through early April. Boyne Mountain and Crystal Mountain both have specials available along with a list of Spring Break activities and events. For guests, this means savings on lodging, special spa deals (who says adults can’t enjoy their vacation too?), and plenty of indoor and outdoor fun. Both offer ski slopes. One even has a large indoor water park.

“When everyone heads south for the beach, the slopes are the place to be for spring break,” said Brittney Buti Primeau, public relations manager for Crystal Mountain. “We are the perfect place for a short road trip and once you are here you can park the car for a few days and enjoy accommodation, restaurants, activities and shopping all on site. And for those who want to explore the area, Frankfort, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City are just a short drive away.”

Boyne Mountain elevates the family-friendly party atmosphere during Spring Break. They have longer piste hours, but also push hard on those après-ski activities. There is a child-friendly DJ and there are special activities. For parents, the outdoor bars are open and don’t forget Boyne is home to the largest resort spa in Michigan. If you haven’t indulged there yet, check out the feel-good menu.

“Pack the sunscreen, ditch the layers, and soak up that vitamin D, because there’s nothing like spring on the slopes,” the resort staff said. “We have plenty to do from wagon rides, s’mores and family movies to zipline adventures and more. Let’s all bask in the glory of a warm, sweet end to the ski season in our retro unisuits and Hawaii shirts.
